What we do with your notice

If your notice is valid and complete, we will: remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material; notify the user who posted it; and forward your notice to that user.

The user has the right to file a counter-notice (see below). If they do, we may restore the content 10 to 14 business days after providing you with their counter-notice, unless you file a court action seeking an order against the user.

    Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to dmca@forrealove.com including:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location it appeared before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your full legal name, address, and phone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of federal court in [District TBD] and that you will accept service of process from the original notifier
  • Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We track DMCA strikes against accounts and apply the policy consistently.

    Misrepresentation

Filing a DMCA notice or counter-notice that contains material misrepresentations may subject you to liability for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please don't abuse the process.

Trademark, right of publicity, and other claims

This policy covers copyright. For trademark concerns or right-of-publicity claims (e.g., "this account is impersonating me"), email legal@forrealove.com with details and we'll review.

This policy is provided in good faith. It is not a substitute for legal advice. Where it conflicts with applicable law, the law governs.
