1. Welcome

By creating an account or using ForReaLove, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform. We've tried to make these terms readable. The legal precision is real, but we want you to actually understand what you're agreeing to.

2. Who can use ForReaLove

You must be 18 years or older. You must provide accurate information about yourself, including age and gender. You agree to maintain the security of your password. You're responsible for everything that happens on your account.

One person, one account. No fake profiles. No accounts on behalf of someone else.

3. What you agree NOT to do

Pretend to be someone you're not, or use someone else's photos

Solicit money, gifts, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or financial favors from other users — this is romance fraud and we ban for it on first offense

Send unsolicited explicit content. Consent is required, every time.

Harass, threaten, doxx, stalk, or send hateful messages to other users

Attempt to move conversations off-platform to evade our safety systems before mutual interest is established

Run bots, scrapers, or automated systems against the platform

Reverse-engineer the Gauntlet mechanic (it's patent-protected)

Resell access to ForReaLove or use it for commercial purposes (recruiting, lead-gen, etc.)

Promote products, services, or third-party platforms in your profile or messages

Violate any law (including but not limited to: human trafficking, child exploitation, prostitution where prohibited, drug sales)

Violations result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans. Severe violations are reported to law enforcement.

4. The Gauntlet, founding tiers, and AI features

The Gauntlet is our patent-protected compatibility progression. You can pause, restart, or exit at any time. Progress is yours.

Membership tiers are Essentials ($19.99), Premium ($29.99), and Signature ($39.99) per month.

Founding members — the first 1,000 — lock their price for as long as they stay subscribed. New members pay current pricing. If a founding subscription lapses, founding pricing ends.

AI features — including AI-generated training plans and conversation prompts — use third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). Your prompts to those features are sent to those providers under their respective terms. Your private messages with other users are NEVER sent to AI providers without your explicit per-feature opt-in.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.

Refunds: within 14 days of your initial subscription, full refund on request. After 14 days, refunds are not provided except where required by law (e.g., EU consumer rights). For verified billing errors on our end, contact billing@forrealove.com and we'll fix it.

Founding pricing is contingent on a continuously active subscription — it is not a lifetime rate. If your subscription lapses, founding pricing ends and any later subscription is at current pricing.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you post — bios, photos, messages, training-plan inputs. By posting, you grant ForReaLove a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your content to other users as part of running the platform. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

We may remove content that violates these Terms. We may use anonymized, aggregate patterns from platform usage to improve safety systems and the matching engine — never your individual content shown to others or used commercially.

7. Account termination

You can delete your account any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. We typically warn first, except for severe violations (fraud, threats, abuse of minors) where the ban is immediate.

If we terminate your account for cause, no refund is owed. If we terminate without cause (e.g., we shut down a feature), we refund the unused portion of your subscription.

8. Liability and disclaimers

ForReaLove is a platform. We do our best to verify users (when you opt into ID verification), screen for fraud, and moderate content — but we cannot guarantee any specific user is who they say they are or that any specific connection is "the one." Use good judgment. Meet in public for the first time. Don't send money to people you've only talked to online.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ForReaLove is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for: harm caused by another user; lost profits; emotional distress arising from outcomes on the platform; damages exceeding what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by local law.

9. Disputes

If you have a complaint, please email hello@forrealove.com first. Most issues resolve quickly when surfaced.

If informal resolution fails, you and ForReaLove agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration (American Arbitration Association, consumer rules) on an individual basis. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions. EU/UK consumers retain the right to litigate in their home courts where required by law.

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@forrealove.com within 30 days of accepting these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State TBD], United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes, we email all active users 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. If you don't agree to the new terms, cancel your account before the effective date and we'll refund the unused portion of your current billing period.

These Terms are provided in good faith. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Where they conflict with applicable law, the law governs.
